Panel Discussion: Gamification in Germany: Buzzword Or... Game-Changer?

​Gamification as a term has been around for about a decade and it's increasingly becoming a trend, often used in conjunction with other trendy buzzwords in business to describe anything playful in order to sell consultancies. What's the state of play in Germany when it comes to gamification? How is it used in practice and what are the outcomes? In this panel we'll discuss about the past, present and future of gamification in Germany, aiming to level up our understanding and be part of the change.

About ​​Dr. Philipp Busch

Dr. Philipp Busch is a Social Innovation Consultant.​ In spring 2018 Philipp Busch finished his doctoral thesis on "Gameful Approaches in Development Cooperation". He teaches Gamification and Agile Methods at the University of Mainz. Philipp Busch is a certified Scrum Master and Design Thinking Coach. He has worked at the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) since October 2014. Philipp Busch is part of the Social Innovation Team in Cairo to improve the situation for youth on the labour market in Egypt. Furthermore, he is head of the GIZ component "Serious Games for Peace" to support the peaceful coexistence in Yemen through the use of innovative and digital approaches.
