About Rita Orji
Dr. Rita Orji is a Computer Science Prof. and the Director of the Persuasive Computing Lab at Dalhousie University. Her research is the area of Human-Computer Interaction, with a major focus on designing interactive systems such as games and gamified apps to promote desirable behaviour change. She is mostly interested in exploring how to design interactive technologies to support people to achieve various objectives, including improving a wide range of health and wellness behaviors, including mental health, sexual and other health risk behaviors, healthy eating, physical activity, and smoking cessation. Her work has won several prestigious awards and funding.
