In this panel session we look at the role of, and how to gamify the effectiveness of, parents, educators, carers and healthcare professionals in delivering successful health & wellness outcomes. Questions to be looked at:

  • How effective is behaviour change without a support network?
  • What game elements are most effective in recruiting supporters?
  • How do we keep all involved engaged for the duration of the intervention?

About Elaine McNish

Elaine is Director of Move Consulting Ltd, a learning and development organisation that seeks to inspire more people to move. Elaine has a worked for over 30 years in the health, sport and fitness sector. During this time, Elaine has worked in local authority leisure services, public health, national research institutions, governing bodies of sport, Welsh Government and a national health charity. Elaine has developed numerous high profile national programmes of work including Water Wellbeing - a whole pool approach to engaging people with long term health conditions and the Welsh National Exercise Referral Scheme, which supports over 32,000 people each year to be more active. Elaine has also written 2 Government physical activity and sport strategies and advised ministers on physical activity and health policy, and has written a book on physical activity and behaviour change for fitness professionals.
